My Book

So, I started back writing my book. I started it almost two years ago and wrote about 5 pages in one sitting. I just wrote about another 3 pages. I think it will be more of a short story than a book, but who knows? Who knows what will happen with it? Maybe it'll get published in some way one day, if I ever finish it. We know, already, how bad I am with routines. Pray for me, y'all.

Beauty Routines

Are you good with beauty routines? I suck! I'm just so lazy when I get home. I hate to clean, cook, or do anything. I use all my energy at work to get ahead and come home and flop on the oouch. I'd rather spend hours on facebook than take the make-up off my face, iron clothes for tomorrow, fix a lunch for tomorrow, and cook a meal. Sad, huh?

I'm trying to do better. Due to my poor habits, I have acne and my teeth have shifted as a result of not wearing the retainers I was given when I got my braces off 10 years ago.

I tried Proactiv, and even when I was pretty thorough, I saw no results. I've heard mixed reviews, but I had not success. I've used Neutrogena and its been pretty good on my face, so I decided to go to their website and do the Skin ID and I think I'm going to go with their suggestions. Since they are customizing the routine to my skin issues, I have more confidence in it.

When I purchased the Proactiv, I purchased the Sheer Cover mineral make-up and I like it. Its quick and easy and it gives the light-weight coverage I need. I think I'll stick with it, but I'll probably try Neutrogena's mineral make-up for $10.

I purchased some aromatherapy lotions out of Bath and Body Works today. One for stress, and one for energy. I also purchased some of the sensual amber collection after being in a friend's house and smelling their electric outlet fragrance. I have it in now. Its sensual but also has a incense smell to it, too. I love it. They were buy one get one free and with all the aromatherapy lotion I bought and some foot lotion, I spent $39. Not bad!

I plan to finish cleaning up tomorrow. Should've finished today, but didn't. Laziness. Procrastination. So mad at myself.

Also, I started using Carol's Daughter's Tui collection. I have layers that won't grow out and I see a little bit, just a little, growth. The back grows find and it really is longer, now, but the layers are still pretty much the same. I will wash it again tomorrow and see how it does. I have a lot of dandruff, which I believe is due to growth, so we'll see how Tui does in my hair. I use the hair elixir and hair blam. I used to use the butter, but I've kinda neglected it.

I bought the Ecstacy and Almond Cookie scents, but have not used them yet. In the winter, I am so into scents. Hopefull, I will finish cleaning tomorrow and will use my scents in a nice bath.

In the last couple of days, my skin has been itchy. I think its due to a change in water on travel and really dry skin. Got to moisturize tomorrow - gotta! I got a scab, like I got some kinda skin disease or something. Gotta lotion up tomorrow.

So, what are your skin/beauty routines. I basically told you everything I'm supposed to/intend to do, but don't do consistently. Any help on how I can improve and have more discipline at home? Help!

Routines

So, I'm awful with routines. This because outside of work I'm lazy and a procrastinator. This explains why its been about a week since I've done anything on the blog. This also explains why my house is a mess. I mean a mess. I need to clean up BAD. Its awful for it only to be one person, but I don't have company like that so who cares?????

I don't really have much of anything to discuss. I've been a very calm, happy person so far in 2010.

My high school class is starting to plan is 10-year reunion. I have an idea, but I doubt it gets implemented correctly without me being there. The person I told it to is stubborn and lazy, so its not going to get addressed properly at the next meeting. The emphasis won't be there.

Other than that, I'm cool. I have had only ONE person comment so far. I had one person on blackvoices shout out my blog. Other than that, no viewers. What's up???

Vivica Speaks on 50

Did y'all see when Vivica Fox was on the M'onique show on BET. I really like Vivica and always have. She has always been real. In my opinion, she is an example of a real, everday woman on t.v. and the big screen. She made it cool to be a little bigger in the hips and butt before Beyonce did - I remember seeing her interview on 106&Park back when the original Two Can Play that Game came out. And she's the first I recall saying that 40 was the new 30 when she turned 40 some years ago.

So, anyway, she was the M'onique show one night, but I just so happened to see a portion of the interview on another site. She got emotional when talking about 50 and the situation that occurred a few years back. She mentioned that she it was very difficult to go through that painful break-up in public, especially with all the things he was saying. She later said that a "boy" said those things and when he called her years later, he was a "man." I believe that. After watching 50's interview with Tyra, I do sense a little more maturity than before. Anyway, she was emotional when talking about the things he said and how she had to deal with it and how her dad told her that "he didn't make you so he ain't goin' break you." She mentioned "the first time we dated" when she started the talk. Then after describing her role in his video - the reason why he called her, by the way - she said that the leading role may have been a crazy woman, but she got him in the end. Seems like with "the first time we dated" and "she got him in the end" she's trying to make it sound like she's back with 50.

Hmm...50 only called for the video - they both admitted that in separate interviews. Seems like he's milking her for the publicity that will come from their bad relationship. She's sprung all over again, it seems. I believe he hit that again, recently, and she's sprung. Neither mentioned that he apologized, if I remember correctly. Seeing how she's acting, now, I wouldn't doubt the things 50 said in the past are true. Also, I learned when Halle went on Oprah, is that these are well-trained actresses, so they know how to cry on cue.

So, what do you all think about the 50-Vivica "relationship" - past and present? Talk to me!

No More Marriage - Diddy

Okay, so I just posted a few days ago about how the value of marriage has decreased and how it just seems people don't do it anymore.

Well, I heard a while ago (from whisperers in ATL) that Diddy and Kim were back together. (These whisperers are pretty reliable - they knew about Usher and Tameka back when Tameka still had the boutique and was still married, legally.)

So, now, Diddy tweeted late last night - and then deleted - that he got married. Peeps are already saying its Kim, so apparently people already knew he and Kim were back together. When I first heard that he got married, I assumed it was to Cassie cause I had forgotten that I heard he and Kim were back together.

Why I thought Cassie: Well, she's young and dumb. She would be well kept. Most older men like younger women to keep the sex frequent and good. Also, she'll probably not challenge him or his ways. Like I said, young and dumb.

Why I'm surprised its Kim: She's been though so much drama with him. Diddy left their long-term relationship for JLo way back when. Then they got back together and played family again by having the twins. But Diddy couldn't keep is "little man" in his pants and got another woman pregnant in ATL within the same year - so he has project triplets. (Diddy has a total of 5 kids, Justin, Christian, Jesse, Delila, and Chance (ATL baby girl). People think Kim's oldest son is his, but he's not - that's Al B Sure's son.) So, Kim finally left after the twins were about 6-9 months old. I really thought she was gone for good. She moved to the West Coast and from excerpts and reviews of her interview in Essence, she seemed like she had finally come to her senses. Guess not...

Why Diddy is getting married: I think he sees Jay married to B and wants the marriage thing. I think Jay is really good to B - I honestly think he's faithful to her...for now. Anyway, you know black men like to compete with each other and I think Diddy decided it was time to get married and he patched things up with the only woman he has truly loved (other than JLo - y'all know he loved her...even wrote a song and remix about her)...so he patched things up with the woman he loves that he can have.

So, this just proves that marriage happens when THE MAN WANTS IT TO. Y'all know they would've been married if Kim had her way about 10 years ago.

Now, the question is: will it last? Hmmm....the odds are more against this one that they were on Bobby and Whitney, who lasted about 11 years. I give this 11 months.

Your thoughts?

UPDATE: Diddy says he did not get married - it was drunk tweeting. Hmmm.....either he's lying cause they want peeps out their business and Kim's embarrassed or he married Cassie and they want to keep it hush cause he knows he ain't got no business with her legally like that or he really did not get married and was pissy drunk...who knows? But why tweet that!??! Can't wait for an interview where he addresses this after he and his many assistants and publicists have time to come up with a good story. Twitter gets more peeps in trouble than it helps them. I suspect celebs will stop tweeting in 2010 if they are smart, which clearly many of them ain't too bright. LOL!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I thank God for allowing me to see another great year and decade. I brought in the new year last night in church, surrounded by happy, faithful people. The message came from Numbers 6:24-26, which states that God is blessing and KEEPING me and he shines his radiant face on me. (Today is such a beautiful, sunny day.....God is already showing up and showing out in my life in 2010!) I left last night's service confident and ready for the new year. All last year, I worried, cried, stressed, and just didn't take the time to enjoy life's blessings. Well, this year, I asked God to help me get over those ways. He's working on me.

I feel great today. Going to clean the house, wash my hair, and just relax. I'm going to enjoy these three days off (even though I may go into work Sunday after church).

So, what great things are you doing this year? I don't believe in New Year's resolutions. We should make resolutions to improve ourselves everyday, but the new year is like a fresh start for many, and I must say that I do feel refreshed today. I'm working on my attitude, happiness, faith, and outlook on life. What about you?
